In Vancouver

This just in: The Bush Administration has declared a War on Tsunamis. President Bush was quoted this morning, "If you are not with us, you are with the tsunamis." He also said he'll be announcing his Tsunami Axis of Evil in an address from the White House later today.

This has been such a lazy week.

Long Story Short
I came to Vancouver, blew all my money on booze, and went home.

Short Story Long
I came to Vancouver for spring break to hang out with some friends I met in Ottawa last year. I've been staying with my good friend Yashar in his frat house on the UBC campus and he's shown me unprecedented hospitality. Cheers buddy. This has been a good week, just to get away and not worry about school and work. I feel like I can go back now and get lots of work done. Which is what I'll have to do if I want to make anything of this school year.

When I got here on Sunday, Yashar picked me up from the airport and we met up with Jamil at the mall and hung out there for a bit before coming back to the house. We made fun of Jamil because a few months ago his lungs collapsed. Good guy, which I could have spent more time with him.

Monday I was supposed to go out with Kristy but she had a family emergency which left me in a tight spot because we didn't know what was going on when she didn't show up and Yashar ended up cancelling his date with his girlfriend. I was looking forward to spending time with Kristy, since I stayed with her family the last time I came to Van. My thoughts are with her family.

So Yashar and I came back home and drank a lot and watched Animal House.

Tuesday I met up with Yana. I love Yana. She's one the people I really connected with in Ottawa last year. We went out for dinner and coffee and shared some good conversation. I wish me and her lived closer. I forgot my camera this night. I was so angry.

When I got back Yashar and I drank a lot and placed bets on Monopoly and Mario Kart.

Wednesday I met up with Laura. Laura is a girl who was in Ottawa the same time I was but we never really met there. We only started talking over the internet later. We went out for dinner, which was nice, and the talk sounded like our MSN conversations. Then we went to go see the movie Hotel Rwanda, which wasn't showing that night because a pre-screening for a different movie was happening that night, so we saw Sideways instead. It was really good, funny, well acted and well written. Recommended.

Then I came home and Yashar and I drank a lot and watched Jon Stewart and then we watched Dogma, which is a cracked out movie, and then I passed out.

Today is Thursday. I leave tomorrow morning so I don't want do too much drinking tonight, so that's why I'm drinking now. Yashar is making shake and bake chicken. I've been really impressed with his cooking. I eat better here than I eat at home. Persian guys know where it's at. In a little bit we're going to go see Ong Bak: Thai Warrior or something like that. It looks really cool, lots of martial arts fighting and shit. Wow, I'm buzzed. Really, if you ever Long Island Iced Tea mix, just drink it straight instead of mixing it.

I'm talking right now with a girl I met in Ottawa from Newfoundland named Shawna. She was fun.

I talked to Brett earlier today, before I was drunk that is. Matt Good has his blog up again after coming home from Europe and Brett sent him an e-mail and now both Brett and I have our blogs linked off of his blog which is very exciting. This was all happening as Brett and I were talking and I thought it was cool that I was in the same city at Matt Good, hacking away at my computer at the same time Matt was. I hope he keeps his blog up and running this time.

Blogger is running so fucking slow these days. Jordan says I can run off of his server, using a new template. I would have to change my blog address though, which I'm not to fond of. I've been changing it so much lately.

I'll post the few pictures I have of this trip when I get home tomorrow. Home for two days then I leave for DC. Gotta go, shake and bake is ready. Cheers.
