This Beautiful Madness

There's a monkey in my pocket and he's stealing all my change.
So Jordan came over the other night, who kind of looks like an extraterrestrial being in this picture. He jacked up his Nintendo 64 so that it runs faster than it's supposed to, which has all kinds of implications for Perfect Dark. Basically it means you can pack yourself along with eight MeatSims in the same corridor, guns blazing and rockets exploding, and the game will run smooth as butter. It's pretty ridiculous.

I phoned the White House yesterday. I called the information line first, got an automated answer. Then I called the dispatch line where a rude woman answered and I got as far as 'I'm a political studies student from Canada' before she switched me back to the automated service. I wanted to see if I could get a tour when I'm down there in a week. Apparently the only way you can get a tour is through your Member of Congress, a month in advance and with a group of least ten people. I guess I don't have a Member of Congress or ten people. Guess I'll just have to knock.

Had a cup of coffee today with a well-traveled person about backpacking through Europe. My anticipation is growing.

This one time when I was small I took my BB gun into my backyard and shot a sparrow that was sitting on the fence. I went right up to it and shot it from a foot away as it happily chirped away at me. It fell to the ground in a spray of feathers but it wasn't dead. I shot it again and it still wasn't dead. So then I stomped on it and I felt really bad. I thought about this really sad, old cartoon I used to watch about a dove who lived in what I know assume was early industrial London, or some other European city. All I remember is that the bird dies in the end and it's very emotional.

I'll be gone for almost two weeks straight to Vancouver and DC. I may or may not be posting during this time. In any case, I'll leave you with some music.

Go down to 'Albums' and you can listen to every album. Definitely check out the Beautiful Madness EP and then go and buy Cupid? at your local record store because that's just the cool thing to do.

Cheers.

PS. Dear God, check THIS out as well. I know at least one person who would appreciate it.
