Killing Time
Alright so right now I feel like destroying something, tearing things off the wall, breaking windows, kicking the shit out of household appliances and household furniture and household people.
I ran into Jordan today when I was walking to library after history class where my prof's ear started bleeding profusely and was like "Guess that's a bad sign. You're dismissed" which was after my anthropology midterm which was a slaughterfest, to drop off my book on terrorism and the media which was three days overdue. Jordan's like "I have three hours to kill until I have to go to my choir thing" and I was like "Well let's kill time by timing some killing". So we went downtown.
Jordan: "I hate my cellphone."
James: "I hate my life."
First we park in the Safeway parking lot and dodge the OBO security goon who's watching for illegal parkers such as ourselves. We go to Music Trader so I can buy a ticket for Stars and there's this stoned out girl at the counter and she looks at me and is all like "Heyyyy" and tells me that I can't buy it there but at Into the Music which is on the other side of downtown. On the way out I see a poster for the show which says tickets can be bought at Kustom Kulture, which is just around the corner. Right.
Go there and the place is so heavy with incense that any lengthy period of time spent within it's walls would definitely induce headaches, but they had some cool books on dope and how to be a terrorist. The guy at the desk has two lip rings and tells me I can't but a ticket unless I have cash. Back to Safeway, which had no ATM, but I could get cashback, so we bought some muffins and some milk because we were hungry and to further my high-intake, high-carb diet. I'm going to be superhuman, just watch. So we go back to Kustom Kulture and Jordan's all like "I'm not walking back into the incense haven with a Safeway bag full of muffins" but he came in anyway.
Back to the car and to the MTS Centre where there's a Ticketmaster outlet where I could pick up a Weakerthans ticket. Again we dodge the parking patrol, walk around for a bit trying to find the Ticketmaster. Then we head over to A&B Sound where I bought the new Jack Johnson and proudly proclaimed that I'd rather have no money and have music than have money and have no music.
Things get complicated when you sit and think how many interactions you have everyday, how many people you interact with. You affect so many people in so many different ways and you don't even know it just as people affect you and they don't know it. It's all timing. Sit in the car for five minutes in the morning and you could have a completely different day than you would have if you had left right away. You could get into a car accident. Or you could avoid a car accident. All timing.

4 Books were burned:
Shit, man, I gotta get some a ticket for Stars...that'll be hot. And The Weakerthans.
Last paragraph is so true. Today I went and finally went to the doctor, which meant being up early. In the downtime between having gone to the walk-in clinic and waiting for my next appointment, I decided to kill time at the mall. I ended up talking to a manager at a store that's hiring and I have an interview now. If I hadn't gotten up early this morning, I'd probably never even have known they were hiring, let alone gotten an interview.
good blog kid....what day are you going to the weakerthans
